Cupping

Cupping is an Asian body work technique that involves the creation of a partial vacuum  in glass cups that are placed on the skin either by means of heat or suction. The cups draw up the underlying tissues.  The cups can either be left in place or slid along the skin with the use of a salve.

Cupping uses round suction cups over a large muscular area such as the back or shoulders to enhance Qi (pronounced "chee") circulation, blood circulation, and lymph flow. Cupping used commonly used to decrease muscle tension, inflammation and to promote organ function.    This modality is excellent for detoxification, muscle pain/tension, arthritis, cold/flu, asthma, allergies and digestive issues.

Cupping has also been found to affect the body up to four inches into the tissues, causing tissues to release toxins, activate the lymphatic system, clear colon blockages, help activate and clear the veins, arteries and capillaries, activate the skin, and clear stretch marks. Cupping is the best deep tissue massage available!
